We may receive and retain information from Stripe concerning your customer account, subscription, transactions and payment status where this is necessary to operate your HRBC subscription.
Information you choose to store in HRBC
HRBC contains personal research and record-keeping tools.
Depending on the features you use, we may store:
- Bet Tracker entries, including stakes, odds and recorded results;
- bookmarks;
- notes;
- Notebook chapters and pages;
- horses, races or other racing information you choose to save; and

This information is stored so that these features can operate and so that you can return to your records later.

3. Information we do not hold
investorbet Ltd does not hold money that you use for betting.
HRBC does not require access to your bookmaker or betting-exchange password.
The HRBC Bet Tracker is a personal record-keeping facility. Recording a bet in HRBC does not place that bet with a bookmaker or betting exchange and does not give investorbet Ltd access to your betting account.
investorbet Ltd does not store complete payment-card details. These are handled by our payment provider.
4. Why we use your information
We process personal information where necessary to:
- create and maintain your HRBC account;
- authenticate you when you sign in;
- provide the features included with your subscription;
- manage subscriptions, renewals, cancellations, upgrades and downgrades;
- process and reconcile payments;
- provide Bet Tracker, bookmarks, notes, Notebook and other personalised features;
- respond to customer-support enquiries;
- maintain the security and integrity of HRBC;
- detect fraud, misuse and unauthorised access;
- diagnose technical problems and improve the service;
- maintain accounting and transaction records;
- comply with legal and regulatory obligations; and
- communicate with you about HRBC where permitted.
5. Lawful bases
Depending on the particular processing involved, we normally rely on one or more of the following lawful bases under UK data-protection law:
Contract
Where processing is necessary to create your account, provide HRBC, administer your subscription or provide features you have requested.
Legitimate interests
Where reasonably necessary to operate, secure, maintain and improve HRBC, prevent misuse, provide customer support and protect investorbet Ltd and its users.
Legal obligation
Where information must be processed or retained to comply with applicable law, including accounting and taxation requirements.
Consent
Where consent is required, including certain forms of marketing or non-essential cookies. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent.
6. Marketing
We may send marketing communications where we have a lawful basis to do so.
Where required, we will obtain your consent.
You can unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time using the unsubscribe facility provided or by contacting us.
Service communications concerning your account, security, payments or subscription are not marketing communications and may still be sent where necessary to provide HRBC.
7. Who we share information with
We may share personal information with organisations that help us operate HRBC, including:
- payment processors, including Stripe;
- website hosting and infrastructure providers;
- email and communications providers;
- software, security and technical service providers;
- accountants, lawyers and other professional advisers;
- regulators, courts, law-enforcement agencies or other authorities where disclosure is legally required; and
- a purchaser or prospective purchaser of investorbet Ltd or its business, subject to appropriate protections.
Service providers are given access only where reasonably necessary for the services they provide.
We do not sell your personal data.
8. International transfers
Some service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom.
Where UK data-protection law requires safeguards for an international transfer, we use an appropriate lawful transfer mechanism or ensure that an applicable recognised protection is in place.
9. How long we keep information
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and to meet legal, accounting, security and dispute-resolution requirements.
Account information may be retained while your HRBC account remains open.
Ending a paid subscription does not automatically delete your HRBC account. This allows you to retain your account and, where applicable, your personal HRBC records if you later resubscribe.
Financial and transaction records may normally be retained for up to six years, or longer where required by law.
Technical and security logs are generally retained for shorter operational periods unless they are required for investigating security incidents, fraud, disputes or legal claims.
Where you request deletion of information, we will delete or anonymise information where required, subject to information that we are entitled or required to retain.
10. Your rights
Under UK data-protection law, depending on the circumstances, you may have rights including:
- access to your personal data;
- correction of inaccurate information;
- deletion of personal information;
- restriction of processing;
- data portability;
- objection to certain processing; and
- withdrawal of consent where processing is based on consent.
These rights are subject to the conditions and exemptions contained in applicable law.
To exercise a right, contact:
privacy@investorbet.co.uk
We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
11. Account information and personal research
Where HRBC provides facilities for viewing, editing, exporting or deleting information associated with your account, you may use those facilities directly.
You can also contact us if you require assistance with personal information that cannot be managed through your account.
Deleting an individual Bet Tracker entry, bookmark, note or Notebook item removes it from the relevant user-facing feature, although limited backup or technical copies may remain temporarily until normal system deletion or backup cycles are completed.
12. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure.
No internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.
You are responsible for keeping your HRBC password confidential and should contact us if you believe somebody else has gained access to your account.
13. Cookies
HRBC uses cookies and similar technologies.
Some cookies are necessary for functions such as account authentication, security and operation of the website.
Other cookies, where used, are explained in our Cookies Policy and consent will be obtained where required.
14. Children
HRBC is intended only for people aged 18 or over.
We do not knowingly provide HRBC accounts or subscriptions to children.
If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child contrary to this restriction, we will take appropriate action.
15. Complaints
If you have concerns about how we use your personal information, please contact us first so that we have an opportunity to investigate and resolve the matter.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data-protection regulator.
16. Changes to this statement
We may update this Data Protection Statement where HRBC, our service providers, our processing activities or applicable law change.
The latest version will be published on the website with an updated revision date.
Where a change materially affects how we process your personal information, we will provide additional notice where appropriate.
